Italy: mastery and creativity in the world

In these years of economic and cultural changes we want to talk about the safety that a product made in Italy can still guarantee. The high quality standards to which the Italian companies have constantly looked place the Italian product in the high end of the market, in a niche position and such that it can be protected, at least in part, from the strong competition of the emerging countries.
In the typical sectors of Made in Italy, fashion system, furniture, Mediterranean food and mechanical sectors, Italy has become more and more an exporter of high quality products.

The richness of Made in Italy: human capital and diversified product

The answer to the success of Made in Italy is to be found in the most important intangible asset available to Italy: the human capital fed by that immense cultural reserve that is the true wealth of our country. Globalisation is also fostering a growing demand for diversified and increasingly personalized products. Italy, possessing a strong identity, can avail itself of this opening of the markets playing an important role in the new economic panorama.

In fact, quality, style and design make the products of Made in Italy more and more attractive abroad, so much so that today we can speak of an Italian lifestyle that many countries would like to import and imitate. Made in Italy is turning into a life in Italian style.

Not only made in Italy: life in Italian style

The popularity of Italy abroad is increasing thanks mainly to the quality of the products it exports, It is therefore necessary to valorise a quality brand that helps to maintain niche positions but that is also a driving force for Italian companies that produce mid-range products, essential to generate turnover and employment.

The brand made in Italy (second in the world in terms of popularity) exerts all its charm in terms of design, quality and ability to impose with its countless products the trend of the moment. It is therefore not surprising that high-end market positions occupy many Italian products abroad.

Birth of the term made in Italy not always positive

The expression made in Italy, pride for Italian producers today, represents the quality, creativity and inventiveness characteristic of Italy and its artisans. In fact, very often Italian products are recognized as high quality products, attention to detail, creative in design and shapes.

This has not always been the case. In fact, originally the expression made in Italy had an almost negative meaning. This expression was imposed on Italian producers in the 1960s by France and Germany to indicate to their citizens that the products were not made in their own countries, that they had abandoned the poor textile and footwear industry.

This terminological reversal shows us once again how much they can change perceptions and trends over the years. Today made in Italy has a positive and excellent meaning and craft workshops like ours work tenaciously every day (and despite everything) to keep these values high.
